Paracetamol and pregnancy - reminder that taking paracetamol during pregnancy remains safe
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has confirmed that taking paracetamol during pregnancy remains the recommended pain relief option for pregnant women. Paracetamol should be used as directed in the patient information leaflet. The MHRA regularly reviews the safety of paracetamol during pregnancy to ensure that the benefits to the patient and unborn baby outweigh any risks. There is no evidence that taking paracetamol during pregnancy causes autism in children
