Cancel Appointments
To cancel appointments, please use the cancel an appointment form to let us know if you can't make your appointment, rather than you having to call us. Please give as much notice as possible. Appointment cancellation requests sent within 2 hours of the appointment being due may still result in a 'no show' on your record.
Extended access to GP services
In addition to being open Monday to Friday 8am till 6.30 pm, we also have access to what is known as 'Extended Access' appointments after 6.30pm on weekdays until 8pm over the telephone, and Saturdays 9am-5pm (face to face or telephone appointments available).
The service is now provided by a team of receptionists & GPs who work for Solihull Rural PCN (Primary Care Network)-& are currently staff from Dorridge, Arden, Balsall Common & Hampton Surgeries. from the 6th April the Saturday service will alternate between Dorridge Surgery & Balsall Common Surgery.
You may ask for access to these appointments when you submit your request for an appointment, or we may offer them to you, depending on appointment availability.
Alternatively, use the online NHS 111 service or call NHS 111.
We want to reassure you that your GP practice is still here to look after you and your family.
Please note you can only register as a new patient in person at the surgery. Although 'Systmonline' alludes to it being an option to register with the surgery using the online system, Dorridge Surgery does not use this facility.
(Once you have your username & password please access your online account as soon as possible to change the password for added security. Please note that your account will never be disabled due to inactivity, and you don't have to 'activate' your account, so if ever you have trouble signing in due invalid username or password, you will need to visit the surgery reception - we can't do this over the telephone)
