Appointments

The telephones are open for general enquiries between 8.00am to 12.00pm & 1.00pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. At other times a taped message will notify you of the emergency arrangements. (Our doors are open between 12.00pm to 1.00pm)

Consultations are by appointment only (see below for how to request an appointment).

Please consider carefully whether your request is a wise use of limited NHS resources (eye issues, please use the Minor Eye Conditions service, for minor illnesses please visit your community pharmacy first, for minor injuries of any kind please go to 'MIU' at Sollihull or Warwick Hospital)

Please submit all request for appointments via the link on the home page.

Please submit your request as early as possible from 8am Monday to Friday

We will tell you when you have an appointment (or other advice) BY MOBILE PHONE, so please do check your phone on the day you submit your request.

Please be as specific & detailed as possible regarding your symptoms, your concerns, how long you have had the issue for, & PLEASE ATTACH PHOTOS at the time for any kind of visible symptoms (as long as not in a sensitive/intimate area)

Please also let us know when you will be available as we may call you in for a face to face appointment.  If you put 'anytime' we will book you the next available appointment & will expect you to attend so appointments are not wasted.

Where we book an appointment for you we will do our best to book with the clincian you request (if specified).

Please DO NOT submit forms whilst you are on holiday (seek medical assistance locally instead).

Please do not follow up a submitted request with a phone call to us, unless you have not heard from us by 5pm (unless you have submitted your form late in the day, & then only call at 6pm if we have not been in touch)

Please note that appointments can/will sometimes be booked for a future date, some will be telephone calls that may be up to 8pm Mon-Fri, some will be Saturday appointments (& may be at Balsall Common Surgery 1 Ashly Drive, CV7 7RW).  These appointments are for pre-booked appointments only.

On the day appointments will be for acute issues.

You may ask for access to these appointments when you submit your request for an appointment, or we may offer them to you, depending on appointment availability.

Alternatively, use the online NHS 111 service or call NHS 111.

We want to reassure you that your GP practice is still here to look after you and your family.

Please note you can only register as a new patient in person at the surgery. Although 'Systmonline' alludes to it being an option to register with the surgery using the online system, Dorridge Surgery does not use this facility.

(Once you have your username & password please access your online account as soon as possible to change the password for added security. Please note that your account will never be disabled due to inactivity, and you don't have to 'activate' your account, so if ever you have trouble signing in due invalid username or password, you will need to visit the surgery reception - we can't do this over the telephone)
