Home visits may only be requested if you are housebound and/or terminally ill. Home visits for these patients will only be made to the registered address (& that must be within the practice area). A visit will be organised if the GP thinks that your medical condition requires it, and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. The GP may call you first to ask some questions in order to assess the request.
A medical assessment at the surgery is always preferable, where possible, due to the availability of more suitable examination facilities.
Please telephone a visit request, if possible, before 10.30am giving details of the problem, your address and telephone number.
